Baked Mac N Cheese
Ingredients:
- Macaroni (or any Pasta) - 100 gms
- Butter - 2-3 Tbs
- Milk - 2 cups
- All purpose flour - 1/4 cup
- Oregano - 1/2 tbs
- Black pepper - As per taste
- Salt - As per taste
- Cheddar Cheese - 1 cup
- Cheese slice - 1 slice
- Mozzarella - 1 cup
Method to make Mac N Cheese:
- Cook elbow macaroni(or any pasta) in the boiling water, add half tbs salt & 1 tbs oil in it.
- Keep stirring occasionally until cooked through. Drain the pasta in a strainer.
- Melt butter in a sauce pan on a low flame.
- add 2 tablespoons all purpose flour.Using a wired whisk stir the flour quickly as soon as you add it.
- Keep on stirring so that lumps do not form.
- Slowly pour milk into butter-flour mixture while continuously stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbling.
- Add salt, pepper & oregano in the mixture and stir for a minute.
- Add 1 cup cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella and cheese slice in it and mix it well.
- Now add macaroni in the cheese sauce.Stir and mix thoroughly so that the sauce coats the macaroni well.
- Pour the prepared mac and cheese into the greased pan.
- Sprinkle the left over cheese on the top.
- Sprinkle black pepper and oregano on top of cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200 C for 15 to 20 minutes.
Ta Daa!!! Your Baked Mac N Cheese is ready!!!
Tip: If you are a non veg lover you can cut Chicken Salami into small pieces and sprinkle on the pasta before baking it. ;)
